Apprenticeship Qualifications

Accounting Advanced Apprenticeship
This framework has been developed by employers and providers to meet the needs of small and medium size enterprises through to the larger organisations. It provides a structured approach to training and developing prospective Accountants who understand the needs of the organisation, its customers and the sector within which they operate. An Advanced apprentice would expect to typically be a Trainee Accounting Technician or an Assistant Accountant or have some accounting responsibility within their role at work.
Accounting Intermediate Apprenticeship
This framework has been developed by employers and providers to meet the needs of small and medium size enterprises through to the larger organisations. It provides a structured approach to training and developing prospective Accountants who understand the needs of the organisation, its customers and the sector within which they operate. An Intermediate Apprenticeship would typically be an Accounts Assistant/Clerk;Cashier; Credit Control Clerk; Finance Assistant;Purchase Ledger Clerk; Sales Ledger Clerk or have some junior responsibility for accounts in their job role.
Business and Administration Advanced Apprenticeship
The Business Administration Advanced Apprenticeship offers the opportunity to develop excellent office-based skills that will give a good foundation for any type of business role in any type of industry.You will be employed and have regular day release to build your portfolio and access tutor support. Your work will include a range of office activities which will enable you to select units relevant to your role, for example, dealing with visitors and reception duties, use of IT for word processing, managing diary systems and use of telephone systems. A person with good administration skills forms the backbone of any business. If you are well organised and like to work in a structured way, then this may be a good opportunity for you to progress and develop your skills.

Workers in this area make sure children are looked after, kept active, happy and nourished. They also help children develop social and practical skills. This Advanced Apprenticeship gives people a chance to build upon existing childcare skills and the job role held will have areas of responsibility.

Creative and Digital Media Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 (Edexcel)
The Advanced Apprenticeship in Creative and Digital Media is an exciting qualification that can give you real experience of employment mixed with training that is linked to your job. The apprenticeship involves employment possibilities in the Creative Industries including TV, Film, Web Development, Digital Design and photography, Print and Radio. Apprenticeships are an excellent way of gaining qualifications and workplace experience. As an employee, you can earn as you learn and you gain practical skills from the workplace. The College links people choosing an apprenticeship with employers who are taking part in the scheme. You apply for an apprenticeship in the same way that you would apply for a job. As part of the Apprenticeship you will agree a plan with your employer and the apprenticeship training provider which will plot your journey. Once the Apprenticeship is underway, you will receive training to prepare you for work in the Creative Media Industries and learn digital and creative modules needed for your job. Finally you will be assessed at work to see what you've learnt.
Customer Service Advanced Apprenticeship
The Customer Service Advanced Apprenticeship offers the opportunity to further develop excellent customer service skills that will give a good foundation for any type of role that includes dealing with customers in any type of industry. You will be employed and have regular day release to build your portfolio and access tutor support. Your work will include a range of customer service activities which will enable you to select units relevant to your role, for example, dealing with visitors and reception duties, working in retail, use the telephone, sales and marketing role, hospitality to name a few. You will be in a position with some responsibilty for customer service provision. A person with good customer service skills is essential in any business. If you enjoy dealing with people, answering queries and like to work in a structured way, then this may be a good opportunity for you to progress and develop your skills.

Hospitality (Food Production and Cooking) Apprenticeship
The Hospitality (Food Production and Cooking) apprenticeship is suggested for candidates working within local authority catering, school meals, residential and care homes, the National Health Service, either as contractors or direct caterers, and licensed retail outlets.
Hospitality Services Apprenticeship
This Apprenticeship covers a range of occupations within hospitality and catering, one of the largest industries in the country. Hospitality and catering covers work in restaurants, hotels and holiday accommodation, cafés, pubs, and contract caterers,it also supplies other industries with food and drink. Schools, colleges, hospitals and large businesses nearly always have canteens and catering staff, too.
Hospitality Supervision and Leadership Advanced Apprenticeship
The hospitality and catering industry covers hotels, restaurants, pubs, bars and nightclubs, contract catering, hospitality services, holiday centres and many other outlets. It operates across national and international chains and also small businesses including owner/operators and all sizes between. The type of role that you can expect to be employed in as part of the Advanced Apprenticeship in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership would be a Unit manager, Head of Department (e.g. housekeeping, reception) Front of House manager, Duty/Hotel Supervisor/manager or a Regional Supervisor or manager in a restaurant or pub chain with multiple outlets, Supervisor or manager in a staff canteen or similar.
IT Application Specialist Advanced Apprenticeship
The IT User Advanced Apprenticeship offers the opportunity to develop excellent IT user skills that will give a good foundation for any type of role that includes dealing with computers in any type of industry. You will be employed and have regular day release to build your portfolio and access tutor support. Your work will include a range of higher level IT user activities which will enable you to select units relevant to your role, for example, complex word processing, spreadsheets, databases, creating a web site, creating flyers and brocures to name a few. A person with good IT skills is essential in most business. IT is an increasingly important area, and whatever role you take you will be part of a fast-moving, ever-changing sector.
IT Application Specialist Intermediate Apprenticeship
The IT User Apprenticeship offers the opportunity to develop excellent IT user skills that will give a good foundation for any type of role that includes dealing with computers in any type of industry. Management Advanced Apprenticeship
The Management apprenticeship framework will meet the skills needs of employers of all sizes, across all sectors in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Offering a chance to progress from a team leader role or meeting the needs of those in their firts junior management role, the advanced apprentices will work in such roles as first line, section, assistant or trainee managers, senior supervisors or managers of a small unit.

Within the Advanced Apprenticeship, the nature of the work will depend on your employer, you may be employed in a more senior marketing/market research role or be working in the areas of advertising or public relations.

Team Leading Intermediate Apprenticeship
This apprenticeship is designed to meet the needs of employers of all sizes across the public, private and not-for-profit organisations across all sectors. It will help to upskill the workforce and provides a good basis for a supervisor or team leading role. It will also act as a good basis for those who want to further develop their skills and move into a management role.
