| Description: | Note this job description describes the role that an apprentice will be working towards during the training period.
Supervision and support (direct and indirect) will be provided or available during all tasks, with progression being dependent on the completion of set objectives throughout the 18 month period. This will enable the apprentice to work within the digital department to gain confidence, experience and build a portfolio of evidence for apprenticeship accreditation. Job Purpose: As a member of the digital team, you will assist in the day-to-day operational work for the Lifestyle digital editions and apps, which will involve liaising with members of staff across the organisation, external organisations as required and members of the public • To gain knowledge of the Digital Department, digital editions and apps • To be responsible for supporting a range of Digital app projects and initiatives • To provide some administration support to the Digital Team Key Areas of Responsibility Digital Subscriptions Helping to Mobile Manager to rollout future digital magazines Checking and editing editions Reporting and analytics Customer service Be involved with strategy going forward Uploading and checking one-off bookazines and third-party brochures Controlling the free edition distribution IOS Apps Helping to Mobile Manager to rollout future IOS apps Uploading and testing apps. Reporting and analytics Customer service Be involved with strategy going forward Uploading and checking one-off bookazines and third-party brochures Using push notifications to market apps. Bespoke Apps Helping to Mobile Manager to rollout future bespoke apps Uploading one-off or regular content Testing apps before launch Fining best practice apps and sharing ideas Reporting and analytics Android and Kindle Helping to Mobile Manager to rollout future Android and Kindle apps Uploading and testing apps. Reporting and analytics Customer service Be involved with strategy going forward Uploading and checking one-off bookazines and third-party brochures Developments of Digital Activity Get involved in development specs for new apps being rolled out by the group. Provide ideas on future developments and brainstorming. This job description is not exhaustive and may be amended from time to time in consultation with the post holder. The post holder will be required to undertake any other duties as may be required for the effective performance of the post. |
