This brilliant young trio was formed from exceptional graduates of the Royal College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music. It has been accepted on the Live Music Now scheme and played recently at the Chipping Campden Music Festival and the National Gallery. The trio also have separate performing careers, highlights of which include concerts at the Purcell Room, St John’s Smith Square, St Martin-in-the-Fields and a live broadcast for BBC Radio 3.

The Sollertinsky Piano Trio takes its name from the Russian musician Ivan Sollertinsky to whom Shostakovich dedicated his second Piano Trio.

After almost 40 years with Steeleye Span, fiddle player Peter Knight’s name and reputation are known to most people with an interest in traditional music. Peter created his own trio ‘Gigspanner’ to explore more fully the areas of music that interest him.

Hailed by ‘Songlines’ Magazine as ‘another milestone in folk’s rebirth of cool moment’, Gigspanner continues to engage hearts and minds with emotionally loaded and life enriching takes on British traditional and world music. Gigspanner’s Debut Album ‘Lipreading the Poet’, was named as one of the top 15 Global/World Music CD’s for 2009, by ‘The Wire’ Music Magazine.

Steeleye Span’s iconic fiddle player is joined by Roger Flack (Guitar) and Vincent Salzfaas (Conga’s/Djembe).

The Vardanyan String Quartet has performed throughout the UK, including appearances at St Martin-in-the-Fields, the Wigmore Hall and the Barbican. Recent concerts include recitals in Chatsworth House and at the North Norfolk Music Festival, several performances of the Mendelssohn Octet with the Chilingirian Quartet and a tour of Germany. After hearing them in London, Bernard Haitink invited them to perform in his recital series in Switzerland. The quartet has also been privileged to perform with Melvyn Tan, Kathryn Stott, Martin Frøst, and Gabor Takacs-Nagy.

as a recitalist, giving performances in the Purcell Room and Wigmore Hall as well as on radio and television, making many recordings with principals of major London orchestras, including the works of Hummel and his contemporaries. Clive also co-founded the Oxford Flute Summer School in 1987, which is still regarded around the world as the leading course of its kind.

Christine Croshaw’s concert engagements have included many appearances at the Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Purcell Room and the major concert halls of Europe. She has partnered several international artists, including the great violinist, Nathan Milstein. Recordings have included albums for the American label, Golden Crest, and a series of CDs for Meridian Records which are often played on Radio 3 and Classic FM.

A former member of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, the Pfeifer String Quartet and the Dehler String Quartet, Carol Allen has made many radio and television recordings throughout Europe. She has also toured widely as a soloist and chamber musician.

Alan Maclean’s career has included solo and concerto performances throughout the UK, recordings and broadcasts on radio and television. He is much in demand as a chamber musician, appearing recently at the Three Choirs and Cheltenham International Festivals. He has also made two highly acclaimed CDs of English piano duets for Albany Records.

From blues to ballads, showstoppers to swing, classics to chart toppers, the Kentwood Show Choir creates a sound that takes your breath away. One of the country’s leading show choirs, it has performed in Germany, Austria, California, Poland, Romania, Ireland and Spain, often to rave reviews. Through its concert programme, the choir has helped raise over a million pounds for local and national charities.

In recent years, performances have been given in Guildford Cathedral, Salisbury Cathedral and the Royal Albert Hall (with Dame Cleo Laine and Sir John Dankworth). National television appearances have included Bob says Opportunity Knocks, Noel’s House Party and Songs of Praise.

His recent work has included a Wigmore Hall recital with Caroline Dale, recitals and BBC recordings with soprano Elizabeth Watts, performances of the Brahms and Elgar Quintets with the Emperor and Heath String Quartets, a Wigmore Hall recital with Patricia Rozario and a series of concerts celebrating the songs of Duparc at St. John’s, Smith Square. Paul has also appeared as a concerto soloist (Mozart K414) with the English Chamber Orchestra and performed live on BBC Radio 3.
