Staff taking non-essential trips are able to refuse students on grounds of:

• Behaviour in College or on previous trips
• A medical condition that puts them and/or others at risk
• Staff feeling that they would be out of their depth or unable to deal with a specific issue

We would always discuss this with parents/guardians and in some cases there may also be ways of mitigating or overcoming a problem, for instance through additional support.
