Teacher Training

Cirencester College has an established background in the delivery of teacher training qualifications. In 2002 the college started working in partnership with the University of Bolton to provide a route to fully qualified teacher status for the Post Compulsory Sector. Prior to this the College was a well-established provider of the City and Guilds (7407) Further and Adult Education Teachers’ Certificate. In the changing times facing teacher training and increases in university fees, the college is now offering teacher training courses (PTLLS, CTLLS and DTLLS) with the awarding body Edexcel.

Whilst some of the programmes on offer are specifically designed for individuals who wish to teach (or are teaching) in the Lifelong Learning Sector, other courses are very relevant for those working in a training setting in industry. The Lifelong Learning Sector includes colleges, school sixth forms, adult and community learning, workplaces and prisons.

We can also arrange bespoke teaching and training provision for organisations; if you would like to discuss your requirements, please contact Jane Fern (jane.fern@cirencester.ac.uk)

Our next information evening is on Tuesday 16th April 2013 at 6pm. Please contact Jane Fern to pre-register (jane.fern@cirencester.ac.uk; 01285 626180).
