How will I learn?

As communication is the main objective of this course, students work in pairs or groups to practise speaking and listening. Recorded material, such as CDs and authentic listening texts/videos will also be regularly used to improve listening skills. Understanding written Italian will be based on everyday items such as notices, leaflets and signs. Italian will be the medium of instruction as far as possible.

What do I need to bring?

Notepad/paper and a pen.

You are of course welcome to bring bottled water or filled travel mugs with you should you wish.

Any additional costs

For new beginners, this class uses a textbook. We ask you to buy this before the class.

You can source it yourself should you wish or we sell it on our website. (On the main Italian page or in our Shop page)

What else do I need to know?

No prior knowledge of the language is assumed. This course is suitable for students who have never studied Italian before or who studied the language years ago and want to go back to the basics.

Nadia is an excellent teacher and this course is really fun. It is so interesting to learn a new language and think about Italian in comparison to other European languages.
