Databases – Using Microsoft Access

Want to gain more of an understanding and enhance your skills in using Microsoft Access, then this is the course for you.

Within this 3 hour course participants will learn through the guidance of our expert tutor how to navigate Access, create a simple database and understand how to use tables and forms.

This course is Free of charge for people who:

  • Are aged over 19
  • Have lived in the UK or EU for 3 or more years.
  • Unemployed or are earning less than £18,525
  • Qualified below a Level 2 (5 GCSEs equivalence)

For those who are not eligible for a free place, students will be co-funded on this course if they:

  • Are aged over 19
  • Have been a resident in the UK for 3 or more years.

Spaces are subject to evidence of wage slip / benefits and proof of residency prior to start date.

Co – funded placements will cost participants £10 for the duration of the course.

What topics are covered?

This course will cover, the following:

  • Understand how to navigate Access
  • Creating a simple database
  • Using tables, queries and forms

How will I learn?

Participants will learn through tutor led demonstrations and then attempting tasks themselves.

What do I need to bring?

The course will be conducted on college computers, there is no expectation to bring own devices.
Participants may wish to bring a notepad and pen for notes.
