Installing and Upgrading Operating Systems

This 2 hour workshop provides participants the chance to gain an understanding of features and functions of different operating systems.

This course is Free of charge for people who:

  • Are aged over 19
  • Have lived in the UK or EU for 3 or more years.
  • Unemployed or are earning less than £18,525

For those who are not eligible for a free place, students will be co-funded on this course if they:

  • Are aged over 19
  • Have been a resident in the UK for 3 or more years.

Spaces are subject to evidence of wage slip / benefits and proof of residency prior to start date.

Co – funded placements will cost participants £10 to partake in this course.

  • Installing / configuring operating systems

How will I learn?

Participants will learn through tutor led demonstrations and then attempting tasks themselves.

What do I need to bring?

The course will be conducted on college computers, there is no expectation to bring own devices.

Participants may wish to bring a notepad and pen for notes.
