Slow Stitching

Nourish your creativity and your soul, by making sustainable intuitive hand-sewn pieces, using reclaimed, recycled and salvaged textiles.

Learn different hand stitching and embroidery techniques, with a focus on process, play and creativity over finished pieces. Embracing the idea of wabi sabi – the beauty of the imperfect, authentic and handmade –  this course aims to help you quiet your mind, become immersed in your stitches, create without judgement, and give yourself a little bit of ‘me-time’ to relax, slow down and find a little respite from our busy lives.

Materials are included however students are encouraged to bring their own fabric if they would like and included is a sewing kit to enable you to continue your slow stitching journey at home after the course has ended.

Suitable for all; from complete beginners to more seasoned sewers wishing to explore a new way of working
