Spreadsheets: Working with Microsoft Excel

If you have a basic understanding of Microsoft Excel, but would like to further enhance your skills , whether this be for your own personal development or career progression this course is for you.

Within this 3 hour course participants will learn through the guidance of our expert tutor, increasing learners knowledge of formatting, using simple formula for calculations, creating charts and sorting data.

This course is Free of charge for people who:

  • Are aged over 19
  • Have lived in the UK or EU for 3 or more years.
  • Unemployed or are earning less than £18,525
  • Qualified below a Level 2 (5 GCSEs equivalence)

For those who are not eligible for a free place, students will be co-funded on this course if they:

  • Are aged over 19
  • Have been a resident in the UK for 3 or more years.

Spaces are subject to evidence of wage slip / benefits and proof of residency prior to start date.

Co – funded placements will cost participants £10 to partake in this course.

How will I learn?

Participants will learn through tutor led demonstrations and then attempting tasks themselves.

What do I need to bring?

The course will be conducted on college computers, there is no expectation to bring own devices.

Participants may wish to bring a notepad and pen for notes.
