Working with Microsoft PowerPoint

This course has been developed to enhance participants understanding of Microsoft PowerPoint.

Within this 3 hour course participants will learn through the guidance of our expert tutor how to make simple presentations and understand how to implement audio and graphics within.

Ideal for those who are either new to PowerPoint or would like to gain further knowledge in order to make presentations more appealing.

This course is Free of charge for people who:

  • Are aged over 19
  • Have lived in the UK or EU for 3 or more years.
  • Unemployed or are earning less than £18,525
  • Qualified below a Level 2 (5 GCSEs equivalence)

For those who are not eligible for a free place, students will be co-funded on this course if they:

  • Are aged over 19
  • Have been a resident in the UK for 3 or more years.

Spaces are subject to evidence of wage slip / benefits and proof of residency prior to start date.

Co – funded placements will cost participants £10

What topics are covered?

This course will cover the following:

  • Using Power Point to make simple presentation
  • Embedding audio and graphics
  • Producing a slide template

How will I learn?

Participants will learn through tutor led demonstrations followed by attempting tasks independently.

What do I need to bring?

The course will be conducted on college computers, there is no expectation to bring own devices.
Participants may wish to bring a notepad and pen for notes.
