Resort Representative

The Level 2 Award for Resort Representatives provides the skills, knowledge and understanding required to carry out the role of Resort Representative. It is ideal for those seeking employment in the industry without formal qualifications. This is a short course aimed at Level 3 students which can be taken alongside Level 3 programmes. Previous students have been successful in applying for roles as Resort Representatives and worked in a number of destinations throughout Europe. This underlines how this qualification meets the needs of the organisations in the industry for well-trained staff.

What will I study?

This course is a very practical course where you will learn the skills of being an overseas Resort Representative. This will include delivering a welcome meeting, transfer coach speeches and solving customer issues. You will look at employment opportunities and the roles of the different respresentatives. You will also plan and participate in delivering an activity to a group of under 16's.

How will I learn?

This course gives you the opportunity to develop your skills that would be required if you wish to become an overseas resort representative.

During this course you will deliver welcome meetings, transfer speeches, plan and run a children's activity, take part in classroom discussions, create posters for notice boards and complete some written tasks.

How will I be assessed?

Portfolio and practical assessment.

Are there any specific entry requirements?

This qualification is best partnered with a Level 3 programme

·       Mainly grade 3s at GCSE

·       NVQ Level 1 or First Diploma

or you are:

·       Pre 16

·       Home or Steiner educated

Can I do this course if I am not studying travel?

Yes everyone is welcome, although this is a Level 2 qualification it is aimed at Level 3 students.
