Travel by coach

If you choose to travel on one of our coaches, we aim to get you to College safely and in comfort. We provide over 30 subsidised coach routes for students living in and around the areas of Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire.

These services operate during term time and are planned to arrive at the college by 8.45am.

The return journeys in the afternoon leave at the end of the teaching day between 4.10pm and 4.25pm.

Having trouble finding a bus stop near to you?

If you feel we do not cover your area please leave your details here.

Cirencester College annually reviews our coach provision. We will use this information as part of our planning process which may include additional stops or routes being added for 2019, however we cannot guarantee that it will lead to a new stop in your area and you may have to use one of our existing stops, to get to college.

From 2019 we are proposing a coach route from the Yate/Chipping Sodbury area

Step 2: Costs

The longer the pass the more cost effective it will be, with the annual pass being the most economical costing approx £3.35 per day (early bird price), £3.61 (discounted price)

If you are planning to study a Childcare or Health & Social Care course that involves a work placement element, you may be eligible for a restricted (3 or 4 day) bus pass. Please tick the relevant box when paying for a pass through Wisepay.

Weekly and single tickets will not be available until after October half term.

Step 3: Applying and paying for a place

Once you have submitted your application for a place at College you will receive your login details to the applicant portal from which you can access Wisepay. This is our preferred method of payment which is highly secure and accepts all major credit/ debit cards.

We hope to make applying and paying for a place on a College coach as easy as possible. Our coach travel is very popular so it is essential that the full payment is received before 30 June 2019 to guarantee a seat.

You are still able to apply for a seat after 30 June 2019, although some of the more popular routes may be subject to a waiting list and full payment will be due if a seat is available. If you wait until results day we will not be able to guarantee there will be space and you may have to find alternative transport to College until a seat becomes available.

To help spread the cost of either the Annual, Autumn Term or Autumn Half Term pass before the 30th June payment deadline, there is an option of paying the £50 non-refundable deposit followed by 5 equal instalments from February to June.

If your total household income is under £35,000 (this includes earned income, benefit payments and Working & Child Tax Credit) you may be eligible for help with the cost of your pass through the Cirencester College Learner Bursary (CCLB). The application form for 2019/20 will be available on our website from 1st May and all the information can be found by using the following link: www.cirencester.ac.uk/ support/financial-support  .

If you are planning to apply for financial assistance, please initially purchase the Autumn Half Term pass, any remaining balance can be paid once you receive a decision on your application.

For more information on the Learning Bursary, please click the link below

Step 4: Passes & Bus timetables

* Passes will only be released once full payment has been received.
* Returning students will be able to collect a temporary pass before the end of the Summer Term; the full pass will then be available in September once the route numbers have been finalized.
* New students will be able to collect a bus pass on their enrolment day; you will be advised of this date nearer the time.

Please click the button to see the current academic year timetables.

The new timetables for 2019 will not be available until 5pm on Monday 2nd September, as some routes may change depending on numbers.

Step 5: Terms & Conditions

Refund Policy
* If you have not yet been interviewed or offered a place you should be aware that paying for a bus pass is NOT a guarantee that a place will be made available on any courses. In the unlikely event that we do not offer you a place to study at Cirencester College you will receive a full refund.

* If you decide not to take up an offered place or cancel your reservation before the start of the academic year, we will refund any payments made for a bus pass less the £50 non-refundable deposit.

* If you withdraw from College or relocate to an area not covered by the College coaches during the academic year, a pro-rata refund less the £50 non-refundable deposit will be issued from the date the bus pass is returned to the Transport Administrator and your name appears on the official leavers list.

* A refund will NOT be issued if you do not have timetabled lessons on a certain day OR if you decide not to use the bus anymore OR start to drive to College.

Please can we ask you to familiarize yourself with the rest of our terms and conditions below.

Driving

For those of you who are drivers, the college has its own on site car park. As the college has limited car parking space drivers must purchase a parking permit from the Cashier Hatch of the Student Journey or through WisePay via Parent Zone.

Students who have recently passed their driving tests will be required to complete the online Drive IQ assessment before being allowed to park on site.
