The majority of the learning takes place in the traditional classroom or a computer suite.  In the Business element of the course, learning is structured using workbooks.  In the ICT element of the course, students learn skills and then apply them to real life client briefs.

For one week in the Spring term, students go on work experience.  This week of work experience should relate to either the Business or ICT element of the course.

The L2 course in Business and ICT is designed to help students progress onto:

Employment;

L3 courses in either Business or ICT.

Please note that students are required to achieve a Distinction in their L2 course in order to progress to a L3 course.

The workbooks needed for the Business element of the course cost a few pounds only.

It would be particularly useful if students had access to a PC or laptop at home, which had Excel and Adobe Dreamweaver and Photoshop installed.

The College entry requirements for L2 courses is a minimum of four grade D's (or grade 3's).

For this particular L2 course, it would be particularly helpful if you have minimum grade 3's in English & Maths, and have some experience of coding (e.g. using HTML).
