Estates and Environment Manager

Salary: £38,685 – £43,920

(Salary dependent on experience)

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Required: 27th November 2023 (potential to start earlier for a handover period)

You would lead on estates at an exciting time for the College as we continue our programme of building and environmental improvements. There will be opportunities to help shape developments and you will definitely extend your knowledge and skills.

You would manage our estates team and lead on Health and Safety across College. The core of the role is about ensuring that our site is safe, clean and provides a great environment for our students and staff. However, this is a time of change and you would be our key contact for contractors with building works, upgrades and environmental improvements.

You would need excellent organisational and negotiating skills along with resourcefulness and the ability to assimilate information quickly.  The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is essential as is excellent communication skills; a positive, calm and reassuring manner; a ready appreciation of high-quality customer service.  

An ability to prioritise is also important in this busy role. The hours of work are usually 8-5 but can be variable as some College functions operate at weekends and evenings.
