Lecturer in Hard Landscaping

Salary: £30, 800 – £45,267 per annum, pro rata

(Salary dependent on qualifications and experience)

Contract: 0.5, Permanent, Term-Time Only (37 weeks)

This is an extremely exciting opportunity for an innovative, forward thinking, professional from the horticulture and/or landscaping sector to join our thriving College and be at the forefront of delivering our Horticulture and Landscaping qualifications. Hours will be Wednesday and Thursdays 8.30 am to 4.30 pm and Friday 08.30 am to 12 noon.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to demonstrate their passion for education within a supportive and quickly developing area, playing a pivotal role in the delivery of our Horticulture and Landscaping courses. You should have an understanding of what makes learning engaging, and in addition you will have some coaching, mentoring and technical skills and be excited about promoting horticulture and landscaping.

The post holder will be expected to:

  • Create and deliver practical and theoretical content around and horticulture and landscaping.
  • Work with a team of lecturers to deliver a successful programme in the new T Level in Horticulture and Landscaping.
  • Work with the Horticulture Team that sits in the Business Faculty and with enrichment staff to create provision that excites and stimulates demand.
  • Have a commitment to providing high quality learning to enable all learners to achieve their full potential.  The ability to truly work as a team player is also essential. 
  • Possess either proven experience in industry or a good honours degree in a related subject (or a combination of both). Ideally you will hold a teaching qualification or be committed to obtain a suitable qualification once in post.
