We welcome the chance to work alongside parents and carers
Your child’s education is as important to us as it is to you and we believe that our high standards in teaching and learning in a supportive college environment is one of the best stepping stones to independence and success for young people in Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.
As a parent it is important to understand how you can maintain the dialogue you will have had at school with your son or daughter’s chosen sixth form provider. At Cirencester College we will communicate general information via Parent Zone and on the main college website. We hope that our weekly bulletin to parents will keep you informed of what is going on for students and you can encourage them to make the most out of all of the opportunities that we offer.
What you need to know
When your son or daughter enrols you will be able to access Parent Zone where you can check attendance and grades and find out when exams take place. You will receive a weekly update on any absences and you can access contact details for key members of staff in your child’s education.
You will be invited in for two parents’ evenings in each academic year where you can discuss progress with individual subject teachers. You will also be invited to general information sessions for new parents and a session on how to support your son or daughter if they decide to apply to university.
We welcome feedback from parents and will invite you to take part in our annual parent survey.
