Pure Relaxation Yoga
This five week series is aimed at people who would like to find ways to build up resilience in the face of life’s stresses by taking time out for deep relaxation. We will use a blend of restorative postures, allowing the body to rest passively. We will incorporate breath awareness, visualisations, mindfulness techniques and an introduction to meditation. Take an hour for yourself to rest deeply and leave feeling nourished, calm and rejuvenated. This class follows the Yoga for Everyone class and you are welcome to join both.
What topics are covered?
Based on teachings from Yoga, Mindfulness and Behaviour Therapy, you will explore and experience ways to develop self-awareness and self-compassion, leading to a sense of vitality and inner calm.
How will I learn?
A creative and holistic blend of techniques including:
Discussion and group exercises
Gentle, mindful movement (mat or chair based)
What do I need to bring?
Mats are provided but you may wish to bring your own.
