What type of things can I do in Enrichment?

Before leaving College and moving on to the next step of your career or education, it is important for us to help you maximise your potential. We intend to do this through our enrichment programme by challenging and stretching you to make you the ‘stand out candidate’ for universities and future employers. When you join Cirencester Sixth Form College, we will build a bespoke package around your own individual learning programme (A-level and/or Vocational) to enhance your learning and enrich your academic experience.

There is a huge choice of enrichment opportunities at Cirencester College, some will help you develop your employability skills and some will be just for fun. However, all of them will be good for your physical and mental health and will promote positive wellbeing, such as:

  • Programmes and events e.g. University & Careers Convention, guest lectures, career guidance, Health, Fitness and Wellbeing Week.
  • Learning focused support e.g. revision sessions, support workshops, and work experience.
  • Wellbeing focused activities such as sports or creative opportunities.
  • Extra qualification courses such as an Extended Project Qualification or Emergency First Aid.
  • Non-qualification programmes e.g. professional practice, sports development squads, Duke of Edinburgh or Young Enterprise.
  • Subject related enrichment e.g. Law Society, Debating Society and STEM activities.

With so many options within the Enrichment Programme, we recommend you think about your strengths and what might benefit you in the future. There is something for everyone. The College is always happy to listen to new ideas and suggestions for enrichment ideas, particularly if they promote well-being or develop employability skills.
