Salary: £28,235-£30,060 – (dependent upon qualifications and experience)

Cirencester College is at the forefront in delivery of STEM T-level qualifications in Digital Design / Surveying and Planning, and Engineering. We are looking for an adaptable individual with a ‘can do’ attitude to join the dedicated teaching team, to provide technical support in addition to the capacity to instruct and train students in practical aspects of their curriculum. This enhanced technician position is ideally suited to someone who has excellent technical skills and would like to be more involved with some aspects of instruction in the workshop and classroom.
The successful applicant will be expected to:
- Provide outstanding support for lecturers to facilitate effective teaching and learning
- Manage the upkeep and maintenance of stock and equipment, ordering items as appropriate and maintain the tech lab.
- Work closely with students to support their progress, including facilitating instruction and supervision in the workshop and classroom
- Become involved in enrichment for students and / or adults by supporting or running workshops.
- Ideally have digital or cyber qualifications or a background in networking
- There are many other areas of curriculum which have potential for support, and the willingness to upskill is an important aspect of this role. This may include:
- 2D / 3D CAD
- Drone maintenance and flying
- Surveying using total stations
