Salary: £31,339-£46,059 per annum. Additional responsibility for Head of Psychology: RA D1, £2500.

A challenging yet exciting opportunity has arrived to teach within and lead the A level Psychology provision at the college. You would lead a large teaching team and ensure the success of hundreds of students each year.
An ability to lead others is critical to the success in this role. You would need the motivation and character to maintain the high standards set within the department with the ambition to produce excellent results for our psychology students.
The RA D1 responsibility will require you to oversee all aspects of the psychology provision and be responsible for the service your students receive on the course. You will be expected to monitor the teaching delivery, assessment delivery and feedback, tracking of, and response to formative assessments.
We want our head of psychology to be in regular contact with the parents of our psychology students and build strong relationships with these key stakeholders.

Candidates should have a commitment to further education and be motivated to achieve high standards in teaching and learning. The ability to lead, work well within a team, and to adapt to curriculum demands is essential. Candidates will possess a good honours degree and a teaching qualification.
This role is a full time teaching role with the additional responsibility of being the head of AL Psychology.
The post holder will be expected to:
- Teach to a high standard, and develop the relevant skills to teach truly outstanding provision
- Candidates should have a commitment to providing high quality learning to enable all learners to achieve their full potential. The ability to truly work as a team player is also essential. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Candidates should possess either proven experience in industry or a good honours degree in a related subject (or a combination of both). You will already hold a teaching qualification.
- Candidates will be expected to enact all elements of the responsibility allowance (outlined in the job description).
