Apprenticeship Standards have been written by employers and industry experts and consist of approved industry based skills, knowledge and behaviours. Apprentices have a period of learning and development, followed by a series of end point assessment activities which are conducted by registered end point assessment organisations.
The Creative Industries has seen significant growth in recent years, which has given rise to the T-Level in Craft & Design. The T-Level is a key stepping stone to an apprenticeship, a career or higher education within a creative field. This two year course will allow students to develop a sound understanding and awareness of running a creative business, alongside theoretical knowledge of how the individual works within organisations of all sizes. All T levels include a valuable industry relevant work placement, alongside study. Students will choose to work within an occupational specialism, which might include fashion/textiles, or ceramics. The creative skills learnt will encourage students to develop their confidence in a wide range of materials, processes and design. The core learning element of the T-Level culminates in a 2.5 hour written exam. This is alongside project based learning with a mixture of hands on making, team work, employability skills and research and presentation opportunities.

The Business Management and Administration T-level offers young people a fantastic opportunity to gain hands on experience and important theoretical knowledge of how businesses operate, and how they can have a meaningful impact when they enter the workforce. You will be developing team and professional skills to get you ready for employment as well as all the essential knowledge needed for the sector.
The qualification will help you gain an understanding of the sector. You will study different types of business, analyse what works and what doesn’t and understand how they innovate and respond to challenges.
As well as a robust work experience element of the course, each student will have the choice of studying one stand alone occupational specialism: Business Improvement or Team Leadership/Management.
