Join us for a relaxing and creative mindful art workshop. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, everyone is welcome and there is no experience necessary! This event is not an art class and will not be teaching you how to draw. Instead, we will be focusing on the process and benefits of creativity itself through some simple and fun exercises.
We will be working through a number of exercises found in the book ‘The Home Retreat’, by Katherine Lewis. These include blind contour drawings, breath drawing, exploring creative expression with music, and more!
Katherine is an arts graduate with a background in fine art photography and abstract art expression. She is now a self-employed artist; founder of Moon and Made wearable art business and co-founder of Oriri Retreats. She has a certificate in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, from the British Mindfulness Institute. She is passionate about exploring the benefits of mindfulness through creativity and freeing individuals from the conforms of needing to create something that is ‘perfect’ and instead, enjoying the act of creativity itself.
