What will I study in Esports Extended Certificate ?

Are you the next event organising supremo, performance management coach or star team strategist?
Entry Requirements
At least five GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, three from the core subjects and to include a Grade 4 in GCSE Maths and English.
How will I learn?
Your eSports lessons will take place in a specialised room, filled with high-spec Gaming PCs. Over the two years of the course, you will look at a variety of ways to improve how you play: by understanding the different genres and types of games, by investigating your own strengths and weaknesses, and by analysing how professional teams and individual gamers play.
You will also spend time looking at the eSports industry as a whole, before then focussing on the different business aspects as well as how to maintain health and nutrition, gaining a professional edge over other players.
How will I be assessed?
There will be 4 units, with each of these having two assignment briefs to be completed during lessons.
There are no end of unit exams.
Are there any costs involved?
Students will be required to purchase their own headset; so as to be able to chat in-game and hear the lessons and streams.
Although gaming keyboards and mice will be provided, students are welcome to purchase and use their own. Gamepads are also provided.
There may also be costs for trips, competitions, or classroom resources (e.g., booklets)
