In partnership with Cotswold First Aid we will be running a number of non accredited first aid awareness sessions. These will focus on different aspects of first aid to enhance participants knowledge.
Tuesday 3rd Feb: Basic Paediatric First Aid Awareness, 5.30-8.30pm
Covering: Unconscious breathing infant and child, unconscious non breathing infant and child (CPR), Defibrillator awareness, choking and childhood illnesses.
Tuesday 10th Feb: Mental Health Awareness for Parents of Children aged 7-11 years, 5.30pm-8.30pm
Covering: How to recognize signs of stress, anxiety, or low mood, and explore simple, everyday ways to build resilience and confidence in your child
Tuesday 24th Feb: Mental Health Awareness for Parents of Children aged 11-16 years, 5.30pm-8.30pm
Covering: Understanding mood changes, encouraging healthy coping strategies, and knowing when and how to seek extra help.
This course is part of our tailored learning offering and fully funded to those who meet the below criteria:
- Aged over 19 from 31/08/25
- Are unemployed and currently in receipt of Universal Credit or other state benefit and the take home pay (disregarding UC payments and other state benefits) is less than £952 per month (sole adult in claim benefit) or £1534 per month (joint benefit claim with partner)
- Employed and earn under £25,750
All sessions to be held at Cirencester College, participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
