How to gratitude journal

“Research into wellbeing and happiness has shown that consciously choosing to participate in positive interventions, can have a positive effect on our mood, increasing our happiness, optimism, and sense of wellbeing. One such simple intervention is keeping a ‘gratitude journal’ – the practice of writing down things that we feel grateful for, on a regular basis.

If we draw our attention to the good things that we have, or that we experience, then we focus on the positive and this can stop us from dwelling on what we don’t have and put things into perspective. Gratitude also helps us savour the good things in life, which increases our appreciation and enjoyment of them, and gives rise to more positive feelings”.(1)

A gratitude journal will help you become more aware of the positives around you. Over time it overpowers the bad and changes your mindset to a more positive outlook.

With a colourful and accessible approach, you will leave the session with the skills and confidence to create an appealing and meaningful record of your days. No creative experience is required to enjoy this workshop.

Includes a set of good quality materials to take away with you to carry on journaling at home.

Learning to illustrate positive experiences in beautiful ways

Fiona was an friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable teacher. She shared her creations with us, taught us templates, fonts and techniques and shared her own journey finding out about the benefits of gratitude journeying. A lovely evening, with lovely fellow students and a bonus yummy cup of tea and piece of cake. Thank you! 🙂

It was such a good course all the equipment supplied on the evening. Tea, coffee cake and a very warm welcome. Learnt new skills, have a what’s app group the other attendees and tutor. Highly recommend.
