Mindful Photography

Mindful Photography is a very gentle way of bringing our attention to the here and now through the use of a smartphone or digital camera. It’s designed to be a tool that can help individuals slow down and ground themselves.  Mindful photography is also a simple, low-tech approach to explore and connect with nature, creativity and community.

This 3 session course will be led by trained tutor Anna Corcoran who will guide participants through a series of mindful led photography activities.

This is a funded course, so free to participants that:

  • have lived in the UK or EU for at least 3 years
  • are aged 19 and over
  • Earn less than 18,525

What topics are covered?

This course will be structured as follows:

Week 1 – Introduction to Mindful photography

Week 2 – Nature Connection, looking at opposites

Week 3 – Exploring resilience through nature, looking at change

 

How will I learn?

Through a series of mindful-led photography activities, including facilitated and independent photo hunts, sharing and discussion.

What do I need to bring?

A smart phone or digital camera

Due to this course predominantly being conducted outdoors participants will require suitable clothing for changeable weather, e.g., waterproof coat, wellies or walking boots
