Self-awareness is the ability to understand your own thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviours and to recognise how they impact yourself and others.

Ben is fascinated by the way people think and how this shapes their world – he believes you see what you look for.  His discussions with people over the years have always ended up being centred around the topics in this course.  He has found that when people are aware of these topics, they are then able to change the way they approach life.  He sees it as a privilege to help people lead happier lives and this course allows him to help more people and engage in fascinating discussions about how people tick.

What topics are covered?

Over the three weeks we will cover:

• Your perspective: Understanding how your past experiences shape the way you perceive the world around you.
• Recognising thought patterns: Being aware of how you tend to think and talk to yourself, including your core beliefs and self-talk.
• Understanding your emotions: Being able to identify and understand your moods and emotions, rather than just reacting to them.
• Analysing behaviours: Understanding why you act a certain way in different situations and identifying triggers for your behaviour.
• New language: Identifying words and phrases you use which can be swapped for more positive language.

How will I learn?

This is not a talking therapy or counselling session and there is no expectation or desire for you to share personal information or history which you are uncomfortable sharing in a group environment.

The course is designed to ignite your curiosity about yourself in a fun and engaging way and everyone will get the most out of it if attendees are happy to share some simple examples from their lives which provide useful insights for the class.

The course is also designed to give you some practical tools and techniques to take away with you which may help you change your life.
