T-level Foundation Year in Health

The Foundation for T-level Health course is designed to offer students a pathway to the Level 3 T-levels in Health. You will be studying a range of topics to gain a Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification, industry appropriate work experience and projects to develop essential skills to progress on to Health T-levels.

What will I study in T-level Foundation Year in Health?

The health and social care level 2 programme will include all of the foundational knowledge that you need of what makes good healthcare practice and what makes for healthy living and good wellbeing. This will include a unit on the development of people throughout their lifespan from birth to old age, units on social influences on health and wellbeing, and units on how best to communicate to service users and clients in the sector. The focus will be on applying your knowledge to real world scenarios to help prepare you for the world of work. There will also be a technical element designed to help you get more practical technical skills, both to help you in the workplace later on, but also to help prepare you for level 3 T-level progression.

Entry Requirements

At least 3 GCSEs at Grade 3 or higher which must include English, Maths and Science.

How will I learn?

Your level 2 learning will have a lot of independent learning, in order to help you develop yoru course work and assignments. This will involve a lot of research and work in teams, working alongside your teacher to produce the best quality work and results possible.
