We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our Chair of Governors, Peter Holmes this weekend.

Peter has been the Chair of Governors for Cirencester College since 2017, bringing a wealth of experience to the College.  From his early days as a teacher in London, to working in various senior roles at local, regional and national level, Peter has had an outstanding career in education.

Matt Reynolds, Interim Principal said, “This is a very sad day for Cirencester College.  In the last few years Peter oversaw with the senior team the biggest expansion to the College.  Peter’s unwavering commitment to see each and every student achieve their personal goals lay at the heart of his ambitions for the College.  Peter was working with us almost to the very end with the support of his two very strong vice chairs, his absence will be deeply felt by the whole Cirencester College community.”

Ben West and Andrew Tubb, Vice Chairs of the Board of Governors, added, “On behalf of the governors we would like to express our profound sadness upon hearing of the passing of Peter.  Peter was a dedicated and hardworking governor, hugely supportive of colleagues and champion of our students.  Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family at this difficult time.”
