Celebrations are in order for Cirencester College students from Swindon collecting their A-level, T-level, and Vocational results today, with top grades across the board.
So far, over 80% of students have secured places at their first-choice university.
Congratulations to the nine students who gained their places at veterinary and medical schools across the country, and the four students who secured their places at Oxford or Cambridge.
Among the many success stories is Lois, formerly of Bradon Forest School, who achieved A*A*A*A and will be going on to study Medicine at the University of Exeter.
Millie, formerly of The Ridgeway School is another student with lots to celebrate after achieving A*A*A*A and securing a place at the University of Cambridge to study Natural Sciences. A very happy Millie said “I am absolutely thrilled and relieved to see where my work has gotten me. The support at Cirencester College has been incredible and more than I could have hoped for. My experience has helped me grow academically, and has allowed me to make friends who I will keep in touch with long after College.”
It was another year of top T-level grades, with the fourth cohort of students receiving their results. Cirencester College was one of the first institutions to pioneer T-level qualifications and today celebrates 35 students achieving top grades.
Among the top achieving T-level students is Isla, who achieved a Distinction in Education and Early Years, securing a place to study Social Work at the University of Gloucestershire.
T-level Management and Administration student, Sam, achieved a Distinction and will be studying International Business Management at Oxford Brookes University.
College Principal, Matt Reynolds, said “We’re absolutely thrilled with our results this year. Performance has been extremely high. I’m so proud of our students, and my excellent staff for what we’ve achieved together. Our A-level results have been superb, with Arts courses hitting up to 85% A* to B rates, and great examples of Humanities and Science subjects collecting brilliant 100% pass rates. All while T-levels have set the bar for technical qualification excellence smashing the national figures, and our Vocational courses are simply flying along with brilliant performance. It’s fantastic to see our young people about to venture out for the next part of their journey in life. I feel so happy that we’ve helped them achieve their goals and have prepared them perfectly for their next steps. Congratulations to all of our learners on their success.”
