Basic First Aid Awareness Course

This 3 hour Basic First Aid Awareness Course is being delivered by Cotswold First Aid. Within which it will cover valuable skills which will teach participants how to deal with a number of emergency scenarios which could help preserve life.

This is a funded course, so free to participants that:

  • Have lived in the UK or EU for at least 3 years
  • Are aged 19 and over
  • Are earning less than £18,525

Those who do not meet the criteria for a funded place can access the course for £10.

What topics are covered?

The course will cover the following scenarios:

  • Unconscious breathing patients
  • Unconscious non breathing patients
  • Defibrillator Awareness
  • Choking and basic wound care.

How will I learn?

Tutor led demonstrations followed by opportunities to conduct learnt tasks, this will be a hands on practical course.

What do I need to bring?

Participants are advised to wear comfortable non restrictive clothing.

Participants may wish to bring a notepad and pen.
