Recently twelve Cirencester College students attended a charity golf day at Cirencester Golf Club organised for Macmillan Cancer Support. Students from the Level 2 Sport and the Uniformed Services course assisted with car parking and ball spotting throughout the day.

Steve Bishop, one of the main organisers of the day said “They did a wonderful job and are a credit to Cirencester College”

The figure the students helped to raise on the day is believed to be around £10,000

PE and Sport Science lecturer at Cirencester College Nick Peare said “We are so proud of the students that took part in this charity golf day. They are a credit to themselves and the College, showing excellent entrepreneurial spirit and demonstrating good networking skills. They overcame their initial nerves, learned a lot and enjoyed the support they were giving to the charity event.”
