Junk Journaling
Slow down and explore the creative, mindful world of junk journalling in this relaxed and welcoming 2-hour workshop. Using a mix of recycled papers, vintage finds, magazines, stamps, stickers and decorative materials, learners will create layered journal pages filled with texture, colour and personal meaning.
Throughout the session, participants will experiment with collage techniques, page composition, simple mark making, layering, pockets and decorative details to build unique handmade pages. There will be plenty of inspiration and gentle prompts to help spark ideas, whether you enjoy storytelling, memory keeping, mindfulness, scrapbooking or simply playing creatively without pressure.
Participants are also welcome to bring along their own memorabilia, photographs, tickets, letters or meaningful paper items to include in their journal if they wish, although this is completely optional as plenty of materials will be provided.
The atmosphere is calm, supportive and gently experimental — focused on enjoying the process rather than creating something “perfect.” No previous experience is needed, and all materials are provided.
