Italian for Beginners
Are you interested in finding out more about Italian culture? Do you enjoy holidaying in Italy and would like to speak the language with greater confidence? Perhaps you have family or friends who live there, or simply want to learn a new skill and explore one of Europe’s most beautiful languages.
This Italian for Beginners course is ideal for adults with little or no previous knowledge of Italian. Through practical activities, conversation practice and real-life scenarios, you will develop the skills needed to communicate confidently in a variety of everyday situations.
By the end of the course, you will be able to communicate with sympathetic native speakers, ask for and understand information using basic phrases, and express opinions in a range of common tourist and social situations. You will develop your conversational skills around a different theme each week, such as food, travel, restaurants and cafés, while also improving your listening, reading and writing skills in Italian.

This course places a strong emphasis on practical communication, helping you build the confidence to use Italian in authentic situations whether you’re travelling, socialising or pursuing a personal interest.
