A group of Cirencester College A-Level Geography students who study the Human Geography pathway have been working with Feria Urbanism to develop ideas to feed into their neighbourhood plan with Cirencester Town Council.
After discussing their initial ideas via Zoom calls, the students were able to take a site visit to Cricklade Street in Cirencester town centre to put their theory into practise and get a sense of what decisions go into town planning. The students discussed how they could develop the space in a way that would benefit younger people in particular.
Course Team Leader Thomas Seale said “This is a fantastic opportunity for students to get to see Geography in a real-life career situation, students enjoyed the tasks especially the foam blocks creating their own urban spaces”.
