Last week Film Studies and Media students visited Pinewood Studios to attend their annual Futures Festival, focused on inspiring the next generation of those looking to start a career in the Film and TV industry.

The students had a great day meeting employers and various industry professionals from companies such as Disney, Sony, and more, finding out more about the incredible breadth of careers in the Film and TV industry.

The students also attended practical workshops that gave them the chance to develop their production skills and try out equipment used in blockbuster films.

A particular highlight of the day was an underwater filming demonstration, that talked the students through how underwater scenes are constructed and filmed.

It was a truly inspirational day, giving students a real insight into the reality of working in the industry.
