Year 1 Cirencester College student Indiana, who hopes to pursue a career in performing arts, has been busy gaining invaluable industry experience. Recently, she has performed at Wembley Arena, and competed in the Swindon Music Festival.

Indiana is currently studying Performing Arts and Music Performance, and her private singing tutor encouraged her to sign up for the Swindon Music Festival which is held at the Swindon Arts Centre. Indiana competed in five classes in the ’16 and Under’ category: Light Opera, Folk, Songs from Shows and Films, Novices and Recital, and won three of them.

Voice in a Million is an annual charity concert that takes place at Wembley Arena to raise money for Adoption UK. Indiana’s involvement with the organisation started during lockdown, when she would complete various challenges they would set for aspiring performers. Eventually, Indiana auditioned to be a part of the choir, and this year was her second time performing in the concert.

Indiana said “Voice in a Million was a really good experience. There is always a great atmosphere, everyone has fun and you know you’re raising money for a worthy cause.”

In the future Indiana’s goal is to perform in the West End and on cruise ships, and work with tour companies.
