Congratulations to former Cirencester College student Harvey, who has recently secured an apprenticeship at the De Vere Hotel at Cotswold Water Park.

Harvey recently completed the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Travel and Tourism with Hospitality and Event Management and will begin his exciting new role as an Apprentice Hospitality Supervisor this month.

Harvey chose to study Travel and Tourism after being intrigued by the course and its career prospects at a College Open Day and he finished the course with the top grade of a distinction star.

“I found my time at College really good”, said Harvey, “I made some really good friends and great memories. When I start my new role, I am most looking forward to the range of departments I will be working in, including meetings & events, bar, restaurant, and reception, and hopefully being part of an organised, motivated, and well communicated team. After my apprenticeship, I would love to further my knowledge and understanding of the hospitality sector, and decide which area I would like to pursue a career in.”

Karen Lucker, Harvey’s former lecturer, said “Harvey was a pleasure to teach, he worked incredibly hard to achieve a distinction star and was always willing to contribute in class and join in with enrichment activities and overseas visits.”

Cirencester College wishes Harvey the best of luck with his next steps.
