On Tuesday 19th December Cirencester College held their annual awards ceremony.  Nearly 50 former students as well as local employers received awards for outstanding personal achievement and contribution to the College and the community.

The awards ceremony, held in the Sundial Theatre, was attended by approximately 120 guests, including staff, students, governors, sponsors and family and friends.

Principal Designate Matt Reynolds welcomed guests before introducing Fiona Galbraith, the Chair of the Corporation. Fiona congratulated the winners on their successes and hard work and thanked them for their contribution to the College.

Matt Reynolds then gave a moving speech in which he recognised the drive, determination and resilience shown by each winner during their studies, truly earning this recognition. He also highlighted the power of individuality and advised them to always be themselves before wishing them every success in the future. Matt then handed out the prizes and certificates.

Year 2 Performing Arts students Ruth and Jake accompanied the ceremony with moving renditions of Shallow from ‘A Star is Born’ and Coldplay’s Yellow.
