Congratulations to former Cirencester College student, Kiril, who was recently selected for the England Universities South Men’s Football Squad.

Kiril, who studied Sport and Physical Activity from 2023-2025, was a valued member of the Football Academy during his time at college. In his first year of college, Kiril played a key role in the squad’s unbeaten league campaign and their successful run to the semi-finals of the ECFA Knockout Cup.

Kiril has gone on to study Sports Coaching and Performance at West Ham United Foundation (University of East London).

“Cirencester College is a great place to combine education and playing sport”, said Kiril, “I improved massively during my time at Cirencester College, due to the high-quality training sessions, analysis sessions, conditioning sessions, and excellent guidance.”

Ross Langworthy, Sport and Physical Activity Course Team Leader and Manager of the Football Academy, said “Kiril arrived at Cirencester College with a strong playing pedigree, which was supported with regular training and conditioning sessions within our programme. Kiril’s game understanding and ability to play numerous positions and roles was something that really developed throughout his time at college, which has helped him progress into both semi-professional football and the England Universities South squad. Kiril’s success is a testament to his hard work and commitment and shows that talented players in the local area can really develop within the Football Academy programme here at the college and be provided with a platform in which to progress into a high level of senior football.”

We are incredibly proud of Kiril’s achievement and wish him the best of luck.
