Former Cirencester College apprentice Jordan Taber successfully completed a Level 4 apprenticeship in PR & Communications, becoming the first person to complete this new level 4 Apprenticeship Standard at the College.

After studying the vocational Media Production course as a full-time student at Cirencester College, Jordan was inspired to start a career in social media, and decided that an apprenticeship would be the best way to continue to develop her existing media skills whilst simultaneously gaining knowledge of the PR sector.

Jordan started her apprenticeship placement with Pic PR, a local communications agency in 2020 and, since completing her apprenticeship, Pic PR have kept Jordan on in a permanent full-time role as Social Media Executive.

Jordan said “Each member of the Cirencester College team has helped me to qualify, I have learned so much within the past year from attending seminars and working through the tasks set by the College.  I’d encourage anyone looking to go into the industry to give an apprenticeship a go as I’m really proud of my progression and can’t wait to see where my career will take me”

Eve Matthews, Jordan’s line manager said “Through her apprenticeship, Jordan has gained valuable skills that have further developed her as a huge asset to our social media team and Pic PR as a company. I’m excited to see Jordan continue pushing herself out of her comfort zone and furthering her knowledge and skills. It is truly a pleasure being able to support her on her career journey.”
