The course is also suitable for those of you who wish to go on to University to study nursing or health at a higher level.
What is different about T-levels is the fact they have been designed and built by employers from the ground up to be a high-level technical qualification that is the equivalent of three A-levels, including all the cutting-edge real requirements for working in the modern workplace. This is THE new gold standard for vocational education. You’ll learn in a way that’s different from school where you’ll be developing team and professional skills to get you ready for employment and all the essential knowledge needed for the sector of your choice. Fashion/Textiles T-level (Craft and Design)
We have had a great A-level Textiles course at the College for many years and keep having requests for a full-time course. The new T-levels have given us the chance to do this and we are delighted to be offering this course in the brand new ‘Art Lofts’ we are currently building. This course will develop your design skills and understanding of fabric, form and manufacture and equip you with the skill required in this exciting major industry. A key part of this will be your placement where you will gain insights into how designers, manufacturers or retailers work and gain hands-on experience to bring your skills, knowledge and creative senses together.

Learners taking this qualification will study two mandatory learning and teaching modules:
• Exploring and Developing Art and Design Skills

There are no exams with this course: your work is assessed via a number of briefs, and the weighting of scores comes from the second year; so you have time to develop those all-important skills.
